It detects when you start working, blocks distracting sites and apps (YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, and more) the moment you drift, and pulls you back, with no timers to start and no blocklist to build. On the AI plan, to classify a site Focen sends its domain, URL path, and page title to our classifier (relayed by Cloudflare to Google's Gemini API), today never the query string or page content, and any change to that would be a separate opt-in, off by default, documented on the privacy page before it ships. Server-side we hold your email, plan, and basic subscription and trial status, plus on the AI plan a count of how many sites and apps you classify (a number linked to your account, never which ones). If you turn on anonymized sharing (off unless you turn it on, desktop app only), Focen adds the category of each site or app it classifies to a shared database with no link to you, your account, your device, or your IP. Focen skips incognito and private windows where the browser exposes that state. Payments are handled by Lemon Squeezy as merchant of record; email is delivered through Resend. ## FAQ Q: Why would this work when nothing else has? A: Because it does not ask you to decide anything. By the time you would have to choose to stop, Focen has already started the session, already knows the tab is a distraction, and closes it for you.
